The controller is genuine and works fine, however unfortunately this one in particular has light drift on the right thumb stick, and a very sticky Options button. Otherwise it's fine.

Very sturdy and long lasting for longtime usage.
The Sony PS4 controllers really are the best to purchase. They are well suited to the hand and are much more sturdy for continual use. The batteries are also longer lasting and less seems to go wrong with them as compared to after-market versions.
