Having tried "Passing the UKCAT & BMAT" already to my disappointment,I found this which seemed to be an answer to my prayers. It has, as it says on the cover, 600 questions on the different sections of the UKCAT test, these are headlined by a short introduction with hints and tips on how to survive each part. These then are followed by about 100-120 practice questions per section with a full mock exam in the back. The answers and working are also quite detailed; basically, it's what you need. What it doesn't tell you is how to go about answering the questions as it doesn't help to just "burn" through them all, what I find useful is timing one question, for example, in Abstract Reasoning, using 1 minute 9 seconds on a scenario which is how much time you would have during an exam which helps build up speed and confidence in a pressured environment. It's one of the best books on this test that I've found so far and its quite easy to read, the Verbal Reasoning texts are actually interesting (which is a big thing when you're reading hundreds of these) and can be picked up and put down at your leisure. Could do with more questions, perhaps some on-line content but it isn't bad for £15 or lower for you bargain hunters out there. Give it a go!Read full review
Excellent practice to get into medical school. Great practice questions, and, if you time yourself, you can get a really good feeel for what the exam will be like. Buy this if you want to stand any chance of achieving a top UKCAT score.
It's what is say in the front page. Good use for people who are going to take the UKCAT or people who are thinking of taking the exam! it is comprehensive and really thorough!!!
