I am using this as a monitor for my PC/PS/Retro gaming, it is a wonderful piece of technology, I am not using the TV, although I might use a streaming stick at some date in the future

I needed a television to replace a basic Phillips 32" LCD. The main problem for me with the Phillips was that there was no audio out to connect to my home cinema system. The Sony has digital audio out as well as phono outs which most TVs in this price range do not have. It also has two scart sockets which I found very useful as I need the extra socket for a home CCTV system. Installation was really easy, just select your language and auto tune and in 5 minutes you're done. The picture quality is superb. From the factory settings I selected vivid and increased the colour slightly which gives a picture of excellent depth in terms of colour reproduction and contrast. I am pretty fussy about picture quality but very little adjustment was needed straight from the box. Colours are very lifelike and the whites are clean and bright. In my opinion at 32" you do not need to be bothering with HD, standard definition is excellent on this set. Sound quality is crisp and clear although there isn't much bass. I would definitely recommend connecting this to a home cinema set up if you watch a lot of films or music channels. The remote control is well laid out and uncluttered and the on-screen menus are easy to follow. The on-screen instruction manual is a very helpful feature although the easy operation means only the most technophobic would really need it. There are also 3 HDMI sockets, a USB port for watching downloaded content as well as PC and gaming connectivity. It is hard to find fault with this TV. The only slight disappointment is the lack of bass to the sound but I have found that problem with most LCD TVs these days. At least this one lets you connect to another sound system if you want deeper, richer sound quality. All in all a superb TV with excellent connectivity at a great price.Read full review
It is a lovely TV that is easy to navigate, and it perfoms excellently well. High picture quality and with wonderful functions like USB connection , HDMI connection, in short I am enjoying my TV.
Simple to set up! And plenty of sockets for that odd add-on! (VHS recorder still works fine and got it to pick up our German Satelite dish too!) Menu contains too many features for the more mature TV Viewer just getting over loosing their Black & White 405 line TV, because we all have to go Digital! If you know what you are doing to get a picture as it should be seen, in Soft colours, with fuzzy edges and viewable from all around the room.... This takes time. However, Everyone in the Old Folks Home can now read the Subtitles without glasses, so that has a lot going for it! Overall.... Designed for the Young! With Features to scare the heck out of some! Great Value and I'm glad I went for a Sony. It should outlast me! (Aaaaargh........... Am I still here? Nurse.... the Screen..... It's so BIG!)Read full review
