The rack is good for the price. the instructions are pointless we used a YouTube video and the picture on the ox to figure it out. When fitting the bike on the rack we didn't have the support bars facing up enough meaning the bike fell off while driving!!! However once secured more appropriately.. all was fine. Can't really blame the rack just the lack of instructions.

The rack does what it says, holds three bicycles. However the fitting instructions are poor and for old style bicycles frames and female bicycle frames you will need to remove oversized red frame clips as they prevent such bicycles from being supported. For Renault scenic grand cars make sure lower support clips are attached to metal D rings in boot and Not bottom of boot door or you will damage your car.

I've a Mazda it will fit but I had to buy extra foam lagging to stop the frame rubbing. Basically you need a car with a flat back and not angled down from the bottom of the rear window. Saying that with the extra foam it's OK. Easy to fit and take of without opening the boot. I've put it on in 3 minutes and off in 1 minute.

Poor product which is very unstable and will not carry Three cycles. The frames on most modern bikes will not fit into the plastic holders so limiting the capacity to carry three bikes. The straps are cheap and not tight fitting making the whole carrier unsafe. I have used it and have fitted extra securing straps to make it safe but I won’t be taking it on any long distance (local use only). I wouldn’t recommend this product.

The first time I used this carrier I damaged the paintwork on the hatchback door on my car. The rubber buffers on the carrier are much too small and too soft and compress completely with the weight of the bikes and the the metal framework touches the paintwork and with the inevitable movement of the car over bumps, the paintwork gets scratched. The lower section which contacts the back door exerts tremendous pressure with the weight of 3 bikes onboard which can cause a dent in the door, which it did in my case. In my opinion this carrier is only suitable for carrying small lightweight children's bikes and even then the buffers need reinforcement to protect the car, I bought some dense foam tubing, the type used for insulation on pipes to cover all the parts that contacted the car. In my opinion this type of carrier is unsuitable for carrying 3 adult bikes and as received it will damage your cars paintwork even carrying only 1 bike. I have since purchased a towbar mounted carrier which is much more up to the job of carrying 3 bikes securely and with no possibility of damaging my car.Read full review
