After several years owning the cheapest free standing under counter I can definitely appreciate the upgrade, there’s not much to enthuse or tell integrated under counters apart looking at pics online but once here there’s some nice little touches you can see you’ve got something for your money, energy rating is the lowest outside something like miele (3 times the price!). I actually bought it because it had a third shelf in the door compared to most having two…well..forget that! I keep jars of olives here and with three shelves in the door if you put them on the top they won’t allow the door to close and on the middle they’re too low to fit under the top shelf…so…I’ve had to take the top shelf out and it’s now sitting idle, no idea what would fit under these shelves! Aside from this hiccup the bottom shelf in the door is massive/deep the storage in the base is very useful and the drawer above also appreciated, shelves above quite tight but perfect for things like ready meals, layout there couldn’t be better. Shelves are thick and have a stainless trim, branding is subtle and the bosch logo is nice in my view. I could have done without the bottle holder..it’s not a wine cooler! And this won’t fit box milk/juice..I wish they kept it as an extra you can purchase separately to save plastic, same goes for egg caddies and the ice tray. Annoyingly if so much height wasn’t given over to the idea of bottles standing the shelves above would have space to work..a litre of milk/box has a good 4” clear on height. I like that the thermostat is actually calibrated in degrees..often fridge controls are a bit nominal (what is 2?? 5??) and that it flashes when it’s not at temperature. Tbh I haven’t moved it from 8 Deg/lowest to save energy, seems fine/cold. The freezer compartment closes with a soft click/quality feel and unlike my last fridge doesn’t force closed with a snap and drip/ice up on the seal constantly! Installation wise the possibility of being able to raise/lower the rear feet by turning a screw on the front was very handy. I sleep in the same room as my kitchen (really!) and I find this very quiet. The power lead is perhaps a little short but easily sorted with a little extension lead. Door adjustment seems straight forward. Has blended in well to my 50’s kitchen thanks to an original door handle I got from Ukraine! Actually has the option of 5 year warranty on the standard 2 for extra cash but be warned if you miss the 28 day registration cut off they aren’t lenient! Apparently dedicated bosch repair team/no independents.Read full review
