The lens was received very quickly and very well packaged. Unfortunately it has several scratches on the front element not shown clearly in the advertised images. On closer inspection you can just about make them out in the advert as they’re very out of focus in the DOF of the photograph. Seller refused to accept this , told me I’d taken photos of a different lens for some reason and has said I cannot have a refund. This is my first bad experience on eBay in many years so very disappointing.

I am still trying to make sense of this. I took the photos in the ad of this lens myself (using an old but very sharp Canon FD 200mm f4 macro lens (with a Lens Doctor conversion) on a Canon R5, with an EF-RF adaptor) and the second photo shows the front element looking absolutely pristine. I also took various photos with the lens before despatch, those too are in the ad, and they’re fine. Did something happen in transit or on arrival? I don’t know.
