Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in MIDI Keyboards & Controllers
This MIDI controller is about the same size, if a little thicker than my laptop, and fits comfortably in a generic neoprene zip-case for a netbook. There is no software media included with the package, the download instructions and license keys are provided in the packaging. It took me a while to understand how to get the software to work, supplied documentation is minimal however there are plenty of video demonstrations on youTube but it would have been handy to have a few example songs as part of the download - I have learned far more by importing free-to-use MIDI songs from the internet than following tutorials. This is my first experience of using MIDI controllers and it's safe to say it was quite a steep learning curve, but I can just about manage to get it up and running now. Don't buy this if you expect to plug it in and immediately start producing top quality tracks, but with a bit of effort and persistance you will find this can be really usefull platform for your electronic music productions.Read full review

For the money and as a cheap alternative to other 25 key bus powered control surfaces its a bargain especially with the pads and keys in one bundle although you get what you pay for. 25 keys (very plasticy and light weight) 40 pads (small but true) assignable controls again great. Would you have it as a main controller in the studio ? NO but really great for the lap top user wanting a versatile portable option. Big disappointment though is it is lack of controller support in DAWs yes its a generic controller but unless you are solely Ableton then you wont get the ultimate integrated experience.

its awesome. As soon as I plugged it in to my laptop, Ableton Live picked it up and it was ready to go. It's a bit like a Launchpad with a keyboard attached. It also works in other DAWs as well. I love it.

It came bundled with Ableton Lite 10 which has the complex time warping, so it was worth it for that alone for me. Be aware that the Ableton version is stripped down and DOES NOT send midi out apart from midi clocks among several other limitations. The keyboard itself is tailored towards Ableton but also works with other software such as Reaper and its controls easily mapped to on-screen midi devices. The keys are not too small and are velocity sensitive. The compact size and light weight of the APC Key 25 also means I can easily move it out of the way when I'm not using it. Build and feel are above what I was expecting for the money.

Absolutely awsome ,make your own beats with this Midi. Bit mind bending to get around the software but you get the hang of it.
