Panasonic have produced the key to making any make of TV into a SMART TV just by adding one of their web-enabled Blu Ray players. If you can connect the Blu Ray to your TV by HDMI then to your home broadband, you're in! Plug in the Ethernet and it's free! If you need mains networking use Homeplugs. Or for wireless via your home broadband, buy a Panasonic Wi-Fi dongle (other makes don't work on their systems!. You can search e-Bay for offers around £40. Now you're readyto access Panasonic's Viera on-line services menu. Viera Connect will link you to Skype - note a special Panasonic camera is required. Free apps include iPlayer and a growing number of App Store etceteras. The Panasonic Blu Ray 2012 model range includes Viera Connect models from the BDT 120 upwards that have a Skype button on the remote (see eBay for bargains around £40).
