The Monitor Audio RS8 speakers are fitted with a 15.2-cm (6-inch) C-CAM bass/mid-range driver, two 15.2-cm (6-inch) C-CAM bass drivers, and a 2.54 cm (1-inch) C-CAM tweeter to offer superior sound quality and performance. The tweeter’s advanced design allows these Monitor Audio speakers to deliver easy character and full clarification at a crossover frequency of 3 kHz. The frequency response range of these stereo speakers is 33 Hz to 30 kHz. The Monitor Audio speakers perform best with an amplifier range of 40-175 watts. In addition, the sensitivity of the Monitor Audio RS8 speakers is 91 dB with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms. These stereo speakers have a height of 90.2 cm (35.5 inches), a width of 18.4 cm (7.3 inches), and a depth of 27 cm (10.6 inches). In addition, at a weight of 21 kg (46.2 lbs), they will remain firmly in place. The Monitor Audio speakers offer a stylish design that will blend nicely with any home entertainment system.

    Amazing impacting bass, soundstage , looks and value

    I have heard these speakers and the dynamic impacting sound is amazing - they are not too sensitive to positioning in that you can run them 300mm from the rear wall. Soundstage very good, extremely power impacting bass, more so than the more expensive Monitor Audio new Gold series which I have also listened to. The quality of build is also fantastic - Great speakers with any decent amp and CD player - These units also look good in a lounge, not too modern and are a feature

    High price but you get what you pay for with these speakers

    OK, my story.. I am not a hi-fi expert but I like my music. I put a hole in my old speakers which were 1970's Wharfedale E30s which I thought were excellent so I looked at reviews and prices for replacements. I decided on Monitor BX6's which look similar to the picture (B stands for bronze) They had good reviews, looked great and were at the top end of my budget, costing £650. But I put a search on Ebay and found a set of RS8s for sale. The RS (silver)series are higher quality than the bronze but the RS8 is not the latest product.. That is the SX8, so you will not find new ones. The SX8 is reviewed as better than the RS8, which you would expect. I don't know what the RS8 cost new but the Sx8 costs £1050... that's a lot of money. I got mine for less than half that and ...
