The wooden writing slope was received earlier than expected (after a delay for jury duty - the vendor sent a photo of his "call up" papers) and was beautifully wrapped. I guess the cost of the bubble wrap was a substantial part of the p.& p. costs, as the item could have been dropped from a passing bomber plane and still survived. I could have paid more for one in even better condition, but for what I paid it was terrific value. If ever I want another one I will certainly remember this vendor.
