Item arrived damaged poorly packaged, and was asked to arrange own postage

I messaged the buyer and stated that the goods were in perfect working order on sending and the packaging was more than adequate. I can only assume the carrier did not handle the goods as requested on the package "Handle with care". I also offered to arrange for collection and refund, as per my ebay messages. Only he can explain why he did not follow up on the offer, which I now withdraw.
