Sadly there was a large patch on the atomiser top where the gold colour had been completely worn away but was not shown in the photographs and although the pump looked ok it did not work. I have however ordered a new part from another seller on here so I will be able to replace it and the atomiser was a bargain so I figure that was a better option than contacting the seller as they do not accept returns. Presumably the seller did not notice the faults! Well packed for transit and fair postage.
