TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read carefully the Terms and Conditions as stated below:

Order Confirmation

Any order placed is provisional until Woodshop Joinery receives a deposit and/or signed receipt slip which will be deemed to be the client’s acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Deposits

On placing an order, a non-returnable deposit, as stated on the quotation /estimate, is required before work can commence. Orders under £500 will be required to be settled in full when the order is placed

Refunds

Refunds will be offered solely at the discretion of Woodshop Joinery.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation after work has commenced on an order will incur the full cost of the quoted project

Prices and Payments

All prices agreed through a formal written quotation or estimate is valid for 30 days from the date of that quotation/estimate.

The final balance due of any order may be subject to change depending on any changes made from the original quotation/estimate after work has commenced. All changes will have to be agreed in writing at the discretion of Woodshop Joinery.

All goods and services shall remain the property of Woodshop Joinery until full settlement is made.

Payment is acceptable by Cheque, Cash, and BACS or through PayPal.

Settlement of the final invoice in full (IN CLEARED FUNDS) less any advance payment, must be made before delivery or collection of the goods unless prior arrangement for credit facilities with Woodshop Joinery has been arranged in advance of delivery

If a cheque is returned by the bank as unpaid for any reason, the client will be liable for a “returned cheque” charge of

£25 per cheque unpaid

Late Payment

Woodshop Joinery understands and will exercise their statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the prevailing Late Payment Legislation

Delivery Dates

All delivery dates are approximate and Woodshop Joinery cannot be held responsible if changes in delivery dates occur due to circumstances beyond their control.

Delivery lead time is taken from the time that a deposit is taken

Cancellation by the Woodshop Joinery

Woodshop Joinery reserves the right to cancel an order at any time and without prior notice if:

• The client fails to comply with these terms and conditions.

• The client is more than 28 days in arrears with payment to Woodshop Joinery for previously supplied goods/services.

• The client is unable to pay its debts when they fall due.

Glass

Glazing units are guaranteed for a period of 12 months from date of supply, after that time the Glazing Manufacturer’s Guarantee applies.

Timber

All joinery is guaranteed for 12 months from date of supply. Please note that timber is a natural product and can be subject to change in dimension and character... Within two weeks of supply the customer is responsible for treating the timber with an appropriate product. Woodshop Joinery will not be held responsible for changes in dimension and character or for deterioration due to poor maintenance.

Our recommended treatment specifications are attached for both softwood and hardwood.

Building Regulations

Where applicable, it will be the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any goods ordered from Woodshop Joinery comply with the prevailing Building Control Regulations.

Miscellaneous

Any electrical work required is to be supplied by the customer at no cost to Woodshop Joinery.

On-site fitting - Woodshop Joinery will not be responsible for any incidental making good i.e. plastering, rendering, painting. This will be the responsibility of the client.

Returns

If any items have to be returned to us, the cost will be borne by the customer.

I certify that all my selling activities will comply with all EU laws and regulations.

This has taken weeks, complete lack of explanation of order placing, lies about order being ready, extra cost after being told order ready then told that ‘free postage’ means collection only from Wales! When I query this, order is cancelled and refunded.

Absolute rubbish. listing clearly states collection only. Didn't want to pay for delivery so we had no choice but to cancel and refund. Clearly doesn't understand how eBay works. We actually made the door for him without any payment up front. Sellers beware this ebayer is not good news . steer clear!

waited five months for door. I have a screen shot to prove advert was changed from "free postage" to "collection only" as soon as I queried postage charge. He cancelled the order without any contact to discuss the delivery. If he wants to sit on a useless door that is his choice. In 20 years of eBay membership I have left two negatives including this so I don't do it lightly. I have explained my reason to him and given three days for reply or discussion which never came, so my negative stands.
