These near professional mowers are very capable and cut low right up to 10" (if you slow the speed down to snail pace). They always work on wet grass. I have been using them for about 13 years. The blades need replacing when the box no longer fills up as the upsweeps on the blades wear away. The drive shafts are best greased once a year or the shafts wear and then the final drive cog starts jumping. So if you buy one it is expensive but will last several thousand hours use

Bought a HRX537 spares or repairs, non runner in the morning, and had it started by the afternoon. It had had a hard life in a garden care business, and wasn’t looked after at all. All cables stretched, transmission leaking, mulch flap seized, rear adjusters rusted solid and generally filthy. Spares are cheap enough, and have brought mine back to life. £200 in and it runs, cuts and drives well. Plenty of videos online on how to repair/maintain these mowers. This is a commercial item, so will of lived a commercial life, ran hard and minimum servicing, so don’t complain if you get a cheap one. The engine is solid, and if it isn’t, don’t buy it, it’ll cost £200-£300 for a replacement. Amazing mower, smashed my 120ft garden easily, and looked lovely with the stripes, looks almost professional. Highly recommended machine.Read full review

IMO these are the best mowers on the market, The Hydrostatic drive will go at any speed you like up to its maximum with total control inbetween, Also the wheels will spin on tarmack if you try and hold it back plenty power in the drive. The bag will fill even in pouring rain and its a fairly large bag so less time wasted emtying, And thats easy as well! The ability to leave the engine running all the time is great and the blade clutch makes travelling between sites easy. Ive used the mulching a few times and it makes a good job as does the combination of bagging and mulching. Cheap to run as it lasts 1 1/2 hours on 0.9l of petrol but it will use it much faster mulching. It fits in the back of my Inca/Caddy van with ease with the handles folded. The deck although plastic seems very tough and is easy to clean. The only pain is having to adjust all 4 wheels for the hight of cut but it does not take long. A set of 2 blades is about £40 but they last a long time. All in all these are great mowers and anything else seems to have major shortcomings. BTW we cut industrial estates with steepish slopes and large areas and gardens as well. It leaves a great finish. Awsome!Read full review
Starts first time everytime ,cuts very low or 6 inches high, variable speed to suit conditions and operator.I have had mine for several years and its cut loads and loads .Blades stop when you stop but engine keeps running so you dont have to pull start everytime you empty grass box.I will certainly have another when this one eventually departs this earth
